Alligators live at the swamp year round so it’s always possible! If you REALLY want to see them, then I suggest booking a tour so the guides can take you to the most popular spots out in the water. If staying on land only, your chances are a bit lower but I HIGHLY recommend doing the walking path – it will increase your chances to see gators and other wildlife – it’s the only way to get out in the swamp without getting in a boat.

Hi, we haven’t visited in February so can’t speak from personal experience. However, alligators are usually less active in winter months. You’ll likely see some, but not as many as in the warmer months. If you went from March-May, alligator sightings would be more likely since that is typically their mating season (and it’s not too hot yet, which means less mosquitos than in the summer!).
