Kayla
Hi! My name is Kayla. I’m a sucker for gothic architecture, dusty old books, and chicken tenders. In 2016, I came up with the crazy idea to have a fairy tale destination wedding in a 13th century castle in Scotland. Since then, I have made international travel a priority in my life. If I’m not on a trip with my husband and 2 year old daughter, I’m planning my next one or helping others plan theirs.
I started The Stickered Suitcase with the hope it would inspire others to see the world and provide them with helpful advice to enhance their travels. At every place I visit, I get a sticker to put on my suitcase, hence the name. I’ve collected quite a few, making it easy to spot my luggage when it pops out of the carousel at baggage claim.
After several years of spending way too much time in Atlanta traffic so we could get to our film industry jobs, my best friend (Amanda) and I decided to shift our career focus to working from home so we can spend more time on things we truly love and be with our families more. We took a few trips together, and in 2023 Amanda joined me in keeping The Stickered Suitcase up and running.

Hi! I’m Amanda, a dog mom, outdoor enthusiast and recovering people pleaser on a mission to genuinely enjoy life.
Kayla and I met in the late summer of 2020 when we ended up working on the same tv show together. Although we had both been in the film & tv industry for years, our paths had not crossed prior to the pandemic. We quickly became besties and spent three years working very closely on the same team. The jobs we had were filled with the most difficult challenges I’ve faced & each day was a constant up and down roller coaster. Kayla was my rock & getting to work alongside her was the highlight of that whole journey!
In early 2023, after feeling incredibly burnt out and craving a life shift, my wife & I decided to stop waiting for the illusive “one day”. We packed up a uhaul and our two dogs & began a journey of traveling the US full time! In our first year of traveling we lived in Louisiana, New Hampshire, South Carolina & of course our home base of Atlanta, Ga.
